Her weight was nothing to him, and in his arms she was his hollow toy. He could do as he wished, break her and move on to another or keep her and user her to satisfy himself. But such thoughts never crossed the mind of the whimsical dragon. For some reason, those tier feelings seemed to press against him from within. Perhaps it was a yearning for acceptance he never knew finally being quenched. An insatiable need to be understood. No, those feelings weren't present. This was pack mentality. He was simply looking out for his breed. Every inch of her felt foreign in his arms, however. He understood this as adversity, and he wouldn't let it stop him. He closed his eyes, smiling warmly into the nape of the girl's neck before finally speaking once more.
"Be steady, fledgling. You're safe in these arms. If you so desire it, these arms will be your safe haven."

Every word that bounces off of her body like warmth of the sun made her insides twist around more and more. Her eyes slowly open and focus down on her white boots as the other's continuing words seep down her ears and into her mind; it's completely overpowering, this feeling and this moment in time. He is so much older than her, and she knows how her kind can be through instinct, and for the other to even show such emotion like this is special - especially for someone his age.
Fledgling, it had a ring to it; she is young, probably the youngest of them that is left, and she's got to learn to live on her own - or she did, or would, or wouldn't. Haven, home, sanctuary; everything she's ever wanted is right here, but shaded in a manner she never imagined. Living in this world is hard, especially after everything you've ever had to take from are those lowly tiers. What to say? What to do? She just did not know; silence ensues.

No other words would leave his mouth for the moment, allowing it all to set into the confused girl. Her mind was a playground and there were so many ways to enjoy himself in it. So much fun to be had running up the walls of the labryinth in her head. But he wouldn't indulge. Even if exposure to the mundane races left her less than what she had preferred, he found her to be just find. He was glad she found a bit of humanity in her, for he wished he could enjoy such. It was as if his heart were naturally hardened to resist such frivolities. Still, he yearned for the ability to feel as they did. To take pleasure in what they could. Perhaps this girl was a window of opportunity, a gateway to his deepest desire. Yet such couldn't come to mind. All that did was paternal instincts that caused him to persist. "Now will you become mine?"

Morrigan knows she cannot just lay there still and silent forever, that something would have to be done; she's surprised that the other didn't simply get fed up with her and do whatever it is he would have wanted to without a second thought. Perhaps there is something foreign within the other as well, something far beyond an amazing existence like the two of them are should have. Without much thought, quickly and quietly and very awkwardly, the words stumble out of her mouth as if she were just learning how to talk. "I do not wish to lose sight of you, however..." her words trail off as her mind races to finish that sentence. ...It couldn't.

For some reason, her hesitation failed to irritate him. Perhaps he had yet to snap due to a divine tolerance, due to lacking the wrath that the tier succumbed to so easily. His pulse would remain a slow and steady beat to a rhythm of sheer archaic intrigue. The girl still resisted him, though he felt he were merely asking for something simple. His proposal seemed fair in his eyes, that her giving herself to him would allow him to give his all to protect her. "Then do not resist... Become my dearest treasure, as I would rather not lose sight of you either." His words came softly, almost pleading. But he wouldn't quite lower himself to a tone of begging. Besides, this plea was to allow him to preserve the last he had from his kind. He could not let her deny him that much.

Immediately, without warning, she throws the other's arms off of her and falls forward on her face. After the shock of the impact settles in, she scrambles onto all fours and quickly crawls away from the other, and once there was a bit of distance between them she turns around to look at him like an intimidated animal. Morrigan did not know what had come over her, though she knows this wasn't going to sit well at all with the other. Breathing heavily, her hair a mess over her face, it is obvious that her composure had gone out the window - if there were any. Silence, silence is all she's ever known.

It was quite a shock, feeling the girl break away from him. It sent a jolt of pain through his heart, how the gods decided to allow him to brace all that he had left one last time before ripping it away from him. He wouldn't let that happen, as he would surge into pure rage to take back what was stolen from him. But before he could snap, he seized control of himself. Such cruel puppeteers the powers above could be, but Fraenir would open his eyes to find the girl still in his presence. He reached out wistfully, longingly for the girl to come back to him. Alas, he allowed his arm to slack as his heart took its natural course. It evaded human emotion when the feelings could be damaging. He would try one more time, having reverted back from his callous state. He rose to his feet, turning his back to the girl before taking a couple steps forward. He would look back for a moment, hypnotic red oculi reflected moonlight as they gazed out towards the girl. "I suppose this is farewell then."

Farewell. Farewell? Morrigan's heart began to race, began to beat quicker than it ever had in such a long time. All of her life she had searched for someone like her, and now that she had found someone like that everything is just spiraling out of control! It is not fair, it should not be this way! Morrigan has no idea what to do, what to say, what to expect out of all this; she couldn't even function right now. "Do not depart. Comrades. Power in numbers." came her broken speech, her eyes pleading for the other not to disappear, to not leave her all alone for another one hundred years. This is all she has to hold onto!

Fraenir paused, smiling a bit. She was right, they should've banded together. He already knew this was inevitable. Asking was just a meaningless test, but deep down she knew it. Regardless of what fears she held, this was how it had to be. She was his the moment she realized she needed him. "Oh?" he would reply before sliding his hands in his pockets. Turning his head back, he would allow his crimson irises to glance at her from the side, care imminently shining in them. "Then come with me," he would state bluntly and simply before turning and beginning to walk again. He knew he had her from the start because he felt that she had already had him. Even if his desires to find the others weren't as strong as hers. Something told him that history taught them nothing, and that any quen'thalll they would meet would probably not have abandoned their foolish pride.

Morrigan didn't like the tension between the two, and for one reason or another she could not help but feel bad for letting the emotions being around tiers for so long have put into her, but she just couldn't help it. Perhaps all the natural instinct that she should have is all gone, swallowed up by trivial emotions from trivial beings. C'est la vie.
Without words she takes one step forward, and then another, and then before either of them knew it she is walking a few paces behind him with her eyes down to the ground. Fingers lacing behind her back, hair covering her face, her mind falls into deep thought as her muscles take care of all the work on their own. All of this is really confusing, and this is just the beginning, and she knew it'll only get harder from here.
But, at least, she isn't the only one - not anymore.
