Though some may find this agonizing, or simply 'irritating', I will do my best to make a good system that is fair to all roleplayers, old and new. There isn't an in-depth explanation required to explain how this works, so please take note. Every in-character post you make within the boards, you gain 5 Coin - with this coin you may purchase skills, spells, weapons, and the likings. But you are also required to purchase level upgrades with the gathered Coin. You will find the prices for leveling up inside the MISC SHOP area.
please keep your level, stats, and sp pool in your signature.

For every level up, you gain 3 stat points to place around your five attributes; STRENGTH, ENDURANCE, AGILITY, MIND, and CHARISMA. On character creation, you are given 11 PTD (Points To Distribute), which you may assign those eleven points to any of those five attributes to your characters liking. Do note, certain weapons, armor, spells and skills will require a certain level and stat number before you can use them. As you continue to level up you can either use your new three PTD or simply let them save up with each passing level purchase - as an example should you wait five levels before touching putting them in an attribute, you should have saved up 15 PTD and you should be level six.
To further explain the five attributes;
STRENGTH determines how strong your character is. People come in different sizes and some are physically stronger than another, therefore the higher your STR stat, the more easier it is for you to lift two handed swords or swing weaponry without getting fatigued - as well as keeping in mind your attacks will have a bigger impact should they hit.
ENDURANCE determines your characters stamina and ability to cope with damage, the higher the END stat, the more likely your character can brush off basic attacks, and the harder it is to pierce the characters skin. Endurance also governs how long a person can stay in a battle without becoming tired (as stated by stamina), so the higher the stat, the less likely your character will get tired from swinging around his weapon so much, or doing straining things such as running, swimming, and the likes.
AGILITY governs your characters overall speed, reflex, reaction time, and accuracy. Thought it was pretty silly to make another stat for 'SPEED', so I just stuck all that in here. The stat is pretty self-explanatory, if your character has a high number in this field he is going to be quick, capable of moving balanced and able to strike faster. Though most weapons and armor generally have a negative impact on the AGI stat, those more agile classes are capable of benefiting in their light armor and small weapons.
MIND governs your overall SP (Spiritual Power) pool. For each stat placed in your MND you are given 18 SP. MND also determines how fast you perform spells, and your overall magic power and defense against it. Though MND helps with skills too (as SP is required to execute them), it does not determine how fast a skill is performed or the likes, since it isn't magical. Though you may assume that getting only 18 SP a level is small, once your character gets into either a Mage or Healing class, your SP pool will overall increase once accepted into the job depending on how much the job gives you on joining. There are also clothing and items that can be purchased and equipped to give a bolster to the SP pool.
CHARISMA is the last stat, though is mainly used by those who are in positions of power. If your character wishes to become a ruler or a member of the royalty, he must make a good case for himself and be well liked. The CHARM stat determines how well-mannered your character is in terms of 'royal etiquette', and simply your overall pull on people to like you. People with a high charisma do not really need to 'work' to get the approval of others, as they have an air about them that overall makes them enjoyable to be around or followed, The higher this stat, the easier it is to gain a political position and keep it. Anyone can gain a political position, but if you have a small stat, people are bound to want to replace you or simply not like you.
There are also tons of items, weapons, and the likings that give a plus to a certain attribute; though generally they also have a negative effect on another attribute. It simply forces you to prioritize on what sort of character you want to make, and what sort of statistics you want your character to excel in.
Please note, simply because your stats may tower another persons in a certain category does not mean you should 'automatically win'. We do not believe in that sort of thing. If anything, we keep statistics in order to give characters a sense of uniqueness, and allow people to customize their characters while striving for things. Therefore, if a character is ten levels or higher than an opponent, battles will become pure skill battle.
